“For there is no authority except from G-d, and the authorities that exist are appointed by G-d.” (Romans 13:1b)

“By Me kings reign, and rulers decree justice.” (Proverbs 8:15)

After the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, G-d raised up strong, determined leaders to follow His plan for the redemption of mankind. G-d called these men during a season, for a specific purpose - to preserve life in times of crisis when Satan attempted to thwart the purposes of the Almighty.

The first major crisis facing His plan of redemption was the rise of the Nephilim (Genesis 6), who polluted the generations of mankind, spreading their evil throughout the earth. But Noah’s generations were not polluted with their wickedness. Therefore, G-d used Noah during this season to rescue His creation by preserving him and his family along with the animals, birds, etc. A worldwide flood destroyed all other flesh. After the flood, Noah’s children began to repopulate the earth.

Soon after, G-d separated Abraham from his family and his home to continue His plan of redemption specifically through his offspring by his wife, Sarah. G-d told Abraham He would bless all the earth through him. It was through his son Isaac and his grandson Jacob and Jacob’s twelve sons, whom G-d called Israel that this would be accomplished.

From that point forward, the Bible recorded the history of the people (and later the nation) known as Israel, the people chosen by G-d as His instruments to bring about the redemption of the world. As a result, Satan began to focus his vile plots against Jacob and his sons.  He authored a conflict between the offspring of Jacob’s wife Leah and his wife Rachael. Leah’s sons plotted to eliminate Rachael’s son Joseph. Consequently, Joseph was secretly sold into slavery in Egypt. G-d’s purpose in allowing this was to preserve the life of Jacob’s family during a worldwide seven-year famine. During this season, Joseph rose to the position of Pharaoh’s second-in-command and devised a plan to preserve life during this time of crisis.

After the death of Joseph, a new Pharaoh enslaved the children of Israel. But once again, in the fullness of time, during this season, G-d raised up a man, Moses, to deliver Israel from bondage. On their way back to Canaan, G-d taught them His ways so they would be equipped and empowered to continue His plan of redemption. But, when the children of Israel returned to Canaan from Egypt, they eventually descended into idolatry and wickedness. As a result, G-d exiled them to Babylon for seventy years, according to His Word.

G-d also used many men whom we might not consider to be G-dly. For instance, at the end of this season of seventy years above mentioned, the L-rd called on Cyrus, the leader of the Medo-Persian Empire that succeeded Babylon to encourage the Jews to return to Israel and rebuild their Temple. Cyrus, by the Word of G-d, released the Israelites from bondage and even helped them rebuild the Temple of G-d.

G-d has been calling upon men and nations throughout history to guard and protect His people, Israel. For example, G-d raised up Christopher Columbus at the end of the 15th Century, when Spain was carrying out despicable persecutions against the Jewish people. During this season of crisis, Columbus convinced the King and Queen of Spain that he could find a trade route via the ocean to India and China. He brought with him a boat filled with Jews who claimed to have accepted Christ. Columbus was convinced he would find the “lost tribes of Israel” on his voyage and insisted on bringing Jews with him. As a result of his exploits, America was opened up as a land to receive the persecuted Christians and eventually the Jews of Europe.

Another illustration would be the hunger crisis after WWI, which affected both Europe and Russia. G-d raised up Herbert Hoover to coordinate the feeding of millions, which undoubtedly included a large number of Diaspora Jews. And later, when the Jewish people were being annihilated during WWII, G-d chose Winston Churchill to become the leader to fight against Satan’s advocate, Adolph Hitler during that season. Then later, He influenced Franklin Roosevelt to join the fight and end Hitler’s ambition to annihilate the Jewish people and become the ruler of the world.

Before carrying out His plan of redemption, the L-rd promised to regather the people of G-d back to Israel. To do so, He raised up such men as Theodor Herzl, Chaim Weizmann, and David Ben Gurion to be strong Zionist leaders, determined to re-establish the State of Israel through much opposition during that season. Many Jews have returned to the land, but not those from America, where most of the Diaspora Jews reside. They continue to be imprisoned by material comforts, wealth, and freedom from religious persecution.

As we approach the time of Yeshua’s return, Satan’s plan is two-fold. First, he plans to destroy America’s economy, which keeps the Jews from desiring to leave. And second, he plans to send the Muslim jihadists to bring persecution that will drive the Jews back to Israel where Satan believes he can destroy them through war.

G-d also has a two-fold plan in this season. First, the L-rd will raise up a strong leader in America who will hear His voice to guide America safely through the economic crisis soon to come. Secondly, this leader will protect the Church from persecution so they are able to become the ‘fishermen’ who encourage the Jewish people to emigrate to Israel where G-d will protect them before the hunters (Jihadists) are unleashed.

“Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says the L-rd, “that it shall no more be said, ‘The L-rd lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘The L-rd lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I will bring them back into their land, which I gave to their fathers. ‘Behold, I will send for many fishermen,’ says the L-rd, ‘and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.’”  (Jeremiah 16:14-16)

This year, 5777 on the biblical calendar, is the season of Jubilee, the time of the return of all possessions to their original, rightful owners. America holds an important key in its ability to protect the largest number of Diaspora Jews in the world who live in the United States. And the Church holds and important key in its ability to encourage the Jews to emigrate to Israel while there is still time. If not, the hunters are waiting behind the scenes with their dreadful torment to accomplish Satan’s goals.

In America, we have two candidates for the presidency who have diametrically opposing worldviews. One of the candidate’s views explicitly opposes G-d’s Word.

“These six things the L-rd hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.”  (Proverbs 6: 16-19)

Who is G-d’s man for this season? Will His choice be for judgment or for rescue? The renowned social philosopher, Eric Hoffer in 1968 said: “I have a premonition that will not leave me; as it goes with Israel, so will it go with all of us. Should Israel perish, the holocaust will be upon us.”
