The name HaDerek is Hebrew for The Way. It is believed that the apostles and their followers were called followers of The Way in the Book of Acts (Acts 9:2; 19:9 & 23; 22:4; 24:14 & 22) referring to the passages from Isaiah 35:8-10.
"And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it.......but the redeemed shall walk there: and the ransomed of the L-rd shall return, and come to Zion with songs, and everlasting joy upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away." (Isaiah 35:8a, 10)
We are Jewish believers in Jesus (Yeshua). Our ministry focus is to illustrate the intricately woven links between the Old and New Testaments. These links can be described as biblical typologythe Old being a type of the New. Both the Old and New Testaments were written by Jews within the context of the social, economic, and political environment of the ancient Israelite peoples.
